Playing Time Crediting

So I was going through my stats today and noticed that I only needed 59 minutes to win the Navy Cross. I played on an Oman 24/7 server for almost two hours as a Marine the entire time. The medal didn't pop up while I was playing, but I'm used to it taking a bit of time to update. I log out and come back 6 hours later and it says I still need 45 minutes?

Am I wrong in assuming that the time you play is the time you get credit for? Surely my almost two hours of playing gave me more than 14 minutes.

Since my stats did update, I'm thinking this isn't an update problem, but could it be?

Likely it's EA/Highway Tampa messing up the stats.

You don't get the Navy Cross in game like other medals, it just appears in your stats.
