tips and advice please

Hello all
I am just wanting some help with SF. I played BF2 for ages and wanted a change of maps so I decided to play SF and I am turning out to be the worse player that ever played SF everyone seem to be coming in from all angles.

Can someone give me some helpful hints such as is it better played in a team and not by myself.

do you play in vehicles? if you do, dont go in them against the insurgents or the rebels, as they have the RPG which doesn't give you the lock on warning tone.
um, if you like karkand, play on warlord.
it aint that different, just get to know the maps and you'll be fine.

just get used to the new gadgets etc

i found it useful when i started to play SF to just go Assault with a GL, grapple up a building with no ladder (so noone can easily sneek up on you) and just rain hell on those below, if you have a buddy go support even better

also on maps like warlord specifically around the palace try and find some good players and follow them, i did this and it left me knowing all the little routes around the outside and whats best to avoid the general nade spam.

also on gator try and start your own local server with just you in it so that you can get the general layout, so that online you dont get lost and subsequently slaughtered.

You'll find that once you get the hang of hte speedier combat style of SF you'll
a) rack in the points
b) go back onto vannila servers and kick *** with speed and overall better infatry skills

also no jets to bomb you :)

Absolutely SF is better (BF2 as well) played in a squad, especially if you don't know the maps. That way you can follow your teammates around. IMO, SF attracts better players so it's not surprising someone new to it and to the maps would get owned. The grappling hook & zip lines make the game much more three dimensional than BF2. Stick with it, you'll enjoy it more than vanilla BF2.

Learn to play Ghosttown I/O it is brilliant. It has spetznaz which r own as well as SAS. You pick up lots of tips on how to play on I/O Ghosttown because u actually have time to spawn and get killed unlike spawning and getting pwned by an apache or tank instantly. Thats just an idea 4 u
