so i've read the stickys on how to create wood, but does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to create some solid looking metal textures

Sure do,


Hell ill write a quick one up now.


You will need Photoshop CS2 for this.


First make a new sheet




Then fill the page white like so



Then go to filter> textureizer.




Then select this,( notepaper)




Then go here




Feel free to change the angle to your choice here.





Add noise to give it more definition




Then crop your final image,




This method works pretty well, what i have done is not the best result that you can get with it so play around with a few of the settings.
