I just started playing Battlefield 2 again after maybe a 3 month break or so and am having some problems. When I play a map, I get these bursts of lag where I will freeze up for 3-5 seconds completely. Other then those moments when I freeze solid, the game runs smooth. The one time punkbuster kicked me and said about manually downloading something of theirs from some site. Nothing has changed on my computer except for a new video card which was a substantial upgrade and the drivers are completely updated.
Anyone knows the cause of this? Could it be punkbuster needs to be updated?
