Graphics *spiking*

Every so often, usually on maps such as FuShe pass and dragon valley i will get spikes in the terrain.

Sometimes it looks like black patches moving on the floor and sometimes the ground is shooting up into the air in a spike.

I have an ATI X1600 256MB VRAM
2GB RAM
C2D intel 2.33GHz

I had that happen to me, couple of weeks later the RAM on the graphics card failed....

Any way to sort this? i dont think my RAM will fail as its ok with other games like FEAR etc

it's not normal at all wat you on about lol, i think your graphics card is getting to hot can you post a few screen shots of it and ill see what i can do

this is the type of thing, also imagine this shooting up from the ground in fushe pass etc.

This isnt my screen, i found it in google images.

That is a driver issue. Uninstall your graphics driver with Driver Cleaner and reinstall your drivers.

The game has also started to randomly freeze then after a minute or so the screen will go black and i will be forced to reboot.

I think it may also be a heat issue. I cant find any took to adjust fan speeds though for WinXP on a macbook pro.

ok by the look's of it it is what a thought i say 90% it's your graphic's card getting to hot ive had that a few times before. 10%try some diffrent driver's, what you need to do is down load a tool that show's the tempreture of your card's chip/memory then post here, plus what card you have, and also if it only happens after a few second's in game it's the temp's,


also if you have a spare fan try placeing it under the card see if that help's,

Overheating. New drivers also have optimization updates (usually). Get em too.
