    Re: Sniper Help

Even though it seems the right thing to do, avoid being prone as much as possible, unless your 100% sure no-one can see you and your in cover.

Use cover like concrete blocks and hill lines, always move sideways / hit crouch every now and again so that your movements are un-predictable. When you have someone in your sight only stop to take the shot, that way you won't be picked off by a sniper watching your every movement unless they're good.

If someones chasing you, let them see which route you go, set a claymore and then watch alternative routes, if they decide to try and outsmart you and take the other route, you only have to hit them with the sniper as they come into sight, 1 shot from a sniper rifle + 1 pistol shot = dead.

It's all on your style of play, some like to camp in obscure locations and wait for the kill every now and again. Others like to be closer to the action and be constantly moving.

Use Rooftops those are my favourites because when their is alot of action happening people dont usually look at roof tops, and look on other roof tops for snipers and usually the maps with Cranes and you keep getting sniped, go behind a building and look up at the crane 95% of the time thats where they are also us your pistol at close range dont waste your Sniper Rounds and when you see someone that doesnt see you and is trying to snipe off someone else go for a head shot, if they are standing/sitting still HEAD SHOT!!!

ok some tip's, first off i cant play no more t mobile blocked me lol, dam, anyway my ping was around 200 not good but i sniped alot, i like the m95 best for the damage if you hit the body qwickly swich to pistol fire away ! 2 or 3 hit if that and bingo,2, i allways go for the head 1 shot 1 kill, take your time on shooting the first bullit you sould get a head shot plus you can stay where you are they wont have a clue where are hideing,

i have the l96 it's the most accuret, but i find it takes to long to line up the shot's very thin crosshair, i dont use it much, to hit a moveing target lead by about thumb width and shoot, do this for a good few rounds solid and you wil get the feel of it,

set your graphics aa to 4x if your card can take it the sharper your image the better you will be in placeing shots where you want them to go,

mouse settings help alot i have my in game at 0.80, :salute:

I mainly camp in high places and wait for enemies to come. Try to get headshots. P.S.- put a claymore at where ever the ladder or stairs are, leading to where you are camping.

            Re: Sniper Help

I like to go where the enemy thinks they are goig to be able to be sneaky and snipe them there or drop a claymore like on karkand the ones that run for suburb always either get pwned by my claymore or I ambush them with an SVD.

Another good tactic is shoot, backup, drop a claymore at your last position, and than hear the loud bang as the claymore goes off.
Make sure you have appropriate cover though of course.

One tactic that I find very effective is to get into positions where you have cover on several sides - i.e. no one can shoot you from your blind position. The downside is that it limits your field of view, but if you're set up on a known spawn area, you'll still have plenty of targets.

There are several positions like this on the Ghost Town map, which is why it is my favorite sniping map.

Don't sit on top of buildings or on hill ridges. They are obvious places and you will be spotted pretty quickly... Find a shadowy area preferably with the sun behind you to negate muzzle flash then start shooting. Bushes and long grass are also excellant hiding places. Have fun with it and just practise. See what works best for you. Good luck :salute:

                      keep one thing in mind

your bullet drops when you try to shoot something thats far away

so this means you will have to aim a little bit above the target

prolly mentioned before, if not then you didn't get any valuable info from this thread

                            Re: Sniper Help

I am a good sniper. What I learn't was to creat a coop with 2 poeple playing so that the flags will not get taken and you can snipe all the time learning about the bullet drops. Also, best to take a little time it not easy at first as with any thing time is the best. Don't worry much about missing a person but if you are spotted move away from the location and keep doing this 99 out of 100 someone will run to your last location and you have moved on. Next tip I will offer a link that maybe of help.

Take your time aim for the head not easy but it will come to you. Also place Claymores at ladders so no one can knife you in the back. Also snipers don't just snipe they help out when spotting the other side this helps your team mates I find to defend flags of there are any good they will!!

                              Re: Sniper Help

I play karkand almost all the time, and I'm not the greatest sniper, but the thing I hate the most is when you Nail them in the chest/neck with the m24 or even m95 it doesn't do jack squat. Yeah, their health is nocked down insanely low, but my teammate usually ends up getting the shot and kill, I can't get the 2nd shot it cuz they start bunny hoppin like a mofo, or They throw a medpack on the ground and my shot becomes useless, even if I bust out my pistol becuase by the time its drawn they're in cover already.

enemy sniper spotted. oh look there he is. thats if he doesnt move around alot tho. most snipers can be easily found if you get hit because most of them hide in rediculously obvious sniper spots, cranes, tops of buildings, hilltops with a giant silhouette etc and can be picked of with a few single shot M16/L85/G36/ bullets etc.
