question about starting a server

if i wanted to start a server do i have to rent one through EA or could i privately host it? i would want it to be ranked and i apologize if this is a dumb question.

You cant privately host it if you want it to be ranked you can rent through EA or get it from a Server provider like MYIS. Idd recomend MYIS they have a TS you can get on if you have any questions good for customer support I assume.

do some shopping around and read up on providers before investing your money, learn from the mistakes of others.
