I Have a verry high ping whith bf2 , more than 300!

I dont know how that happend can you guys please help me

My Internet connection is ADSL 6 MB, and I have already update PB .. but still my ping goes higher than 300+

If ur downloading anything, that will be a huge problem. Make sure your downloaders are closed.
Also if ur on a home network, make sure any computers connectes to urs are not downloading anything either.
I know when i have a hing ping, someone is downloading something somewhere in the house.

I Have closed all my programs , (msn,antivirus,spyware,firewall)
butt still my ping goes higher then 300+..

ok so here's my problem.
a few days ago, i played bf2 on a server that i usually play on, and i have an average of 20-30~ ping.
now these last few days on the same server i've being getting a ping of 100(min) to 280+!
i can't play like this PB always kicks me out for high ping.

i've also tried pinging www.google.com, www.digg.com, www.yahoo.com
and here are my results,

I live in Grand Rapids, MI
and my internet connection is dsl 1.5mbps.

i've also noticed i got this problem only after the stats issue.

btw do you live in michigan?
cause i think there is a problem in michigan with internet right now.

I live in Rotterdam (Netherlands)

If you have a slow internet connection, your ping is always high there is then nothing you can do JOHNIE :)


My Ping Is still HIGH !! 300+

Sorry for my english ..

Run a speed test, see what it says to start, if it slow, then call ur ISP, if its DSL maybe your outside phone box is going bad, if you notice it gets worse when its wet outside then thats a good sign u need another one, mine went bad a few times.

I have done the test , ping says: Unknow I am calling my ISP now

My ISP says there is no problem with my internet connection
