    Re: Crazy Apache Pilot

I believe it's when the chopper is vertical (nose down, alot of people do it on the carrier) and you just keep spinning it in a tight circle, really easy to do with the usmc chopper, I find it harder to start up (not impossible) with the other 2, especially the heavy mec chopper. It's really fun when you're bored to see how fast you can go, and makes your gunner want to puke :yay:

Can someone explain how to do continuos rolls moving forward? I dont mean side barrell rolls but more of a forward moving roll, i saw this guy always take off from the carrier then flip the heli and then start doing small tight rolls but moving forward?

i dont think its possible the way you described. Doing rolls using the y-axis makes you lose a lot of altitude. Maybe it has something to do with throttle?

Nice trick but as a gunner I consider "stunt pilots" to be awful to fly with, they constantly jerk those helos around and do this crazy idiotic moves, and most of the time still get killed, I prefer smooth, calm and smart pilots, who set you up for shots, and even though they don't do this crazy tricks they avoid attacks easier by just being careful and smarter, in the end both the pilot and the gunner get higher scores.

By picking up your mouse continually and moving left or right each time will cause you to roll super fast on the x axis and you wont lose too much alt.

I have been flying the cobra for about a year now, and I have learned quite a few things. Spinning on the nose and tail. Rotating laterally in small fast circles (awesome for carrier rapage sessions) spoofing phalanx (not 100% sadly) and mobile AA volleys. There are some pretty amazing things you can do in both choopers and planes if you know the limits of the machines and the physics.

I do all my flying with 2 saitek ST290 joysticks and a saitek foot pedal for y axis.

                KBM pilots are rarely good.

I think it is when you loop around some object(like hovering around island on Wake)

^^^Please dont flame me,I hear about this term for the first time

Believe me, it can be done - I was taking on a chopper on Wake the other day. As soon as I had lock, the guy would barrel roll, blow flares - missed him every time with the stingers. A couple of times, his gunner even TV'd me while he was still doing his roll.

The damn J10s couldn't even take him out. As soon as they'd line up for a straffing run, he'd just do that damn barrel roll and they'd fly past.

Lol I'm a relative noob at flying jets (50hrs) and I've yet to come accross a chopper pilot I couldn't take down.

Even with the barrel rolls and the fancy shmancy maneouvres, it is so easy to take down a heli.

mostly cos they arent very good pilots...

rafter was talking about somene that knows how to evade a jet's strafe, it usually takes 10-15 strafes and a ram for a n00b to take out somene good like that.

Cptn's, col's, generals...I've shot down a ton of high ranking pilots. Obviously, rank doesn't necessarily correlate with skill, though even the ones that are good at avoiding me can be taken down in a few passes.

I really doub't that I've just never come accross a good chopper pilot.
