Can I get banned or similar if I run my BF2 with *****/DVD patch?

(Yes,I have original disc but its from my friend cause mine is broken)

No you can't get banned but some servers running punkbuster will/might kick you, not all of them mind you. Your safest bet is to mount a mini image. Punkbuster won't do anything about that.

I used a mini image with Daemon tools for a few days while my CD drive was jacked up and it worked fine, punkbuster didn't catch it and (I think) it's technically legal if you bought a legit copy of the game. I don't use it anymore because I got a new disk drive, but it should work fine for you.

A mini image does work, my dvd drive was also jacked up and i didnt get anything from PB.

yeah im using an image as well. i have a ton of HD space so its just easy to put all my gaming disks as images.
