I was just wondering since it is a simulation of real life weaponry, I have noticed that I have gotten more accurate when I shoot paintballs and other things:) am I wrong?

Re: Does BF2 make you a better shooter?
I really doubt it since out of the 4 fundamentals of marksmanship, it doesn't use 3 of them: steady position, trigger squeeze, breath control. The only thing it somewhat incorporates is knowing how to use a sight picture and adjust for that particular weapon and that is probably the easiest of the 4 fundamentals.
All I know is that I shot expert before BF2 and I still shoot expert.:pComment

Re: Does BF2 make you a better shooter?
or i shoot from 5m away
i dont think theres any real relation between the two, maybe playing the game would get you more interested in the area. and then on top of that you'd try harder to be the leet shot.
other then that i dont knowComment

Yeah! And playing Need 4 Speed makes one a better driver =P
Only thing in bf2 I could see helping out real life combat is maybe teamwork and strategy. But even that is questionable because BF2 isn't really a simulation, but more of an action game.Comment

Re: Does BF2 make you a better shooter?
that's utter rubbish
a war simulator can teach tactics to a limited extent but it can't possibly teach marksmanship. Your rifle skills and the game experience formed completely seperatelyComment
