It always boggled me how people need stats to see how they have improved.
If you suck, you havent. If you pwn, you have.
You just know when you have improved or not.

Never needed s*it like that on ET, CS, AA, etc. But now even those games are infested with stats and all that crap.

I like to keep track in various games what my K/D ratio is and what my SPM is, how many kills I have gotten & deaths

Thats pretty much all I like Battlefield 2 stats for.

I run a 1.7 steady K/D through all my games, so I like to see where I am improving, during which periods...etc

i love the stats just too see how bad i am :)when i fist got this game it would not work,soo i got a new computer a year later just play it,i think you cant beat getting a new rank.just too show off to mates who all live on the isle of wight

Only thing i like about them is the drum roll that plays.

haha, thats my favorite part of the game.

anyways, this post is brilliant. i used to care about stats in the afore mentioned manner (ie. seeing what im good at and whatnot). that plus the fact that i played karkand 24/7 (because i LIKE IT) got me called a stat-whore(not that i really care).

i found that since i made my most recent account, i could care less about stats. but now, i have no motivation to play(other than for kicks) since i can't get new guns(even though i have all of them on my other account).

I probably have the worst k/d ratio in all of BF2 but I still like the stats tracking I pick one or two ribbons or badges whatever and just keep at it until I get them. It's just another shooting game without the stats

Besides my first response above, the other reason stats were good was because it made me forget of all the glitches and flaws never fixed .. it kinda cancelled each other out to make me enjoy the game.
