Beginner Tutorials?

Hello,

I'd like to create a map. However, it looks very confusing. Are there any tutorials for a complete beginner? When I try to make a new map in the editor it complains about stuff missing.

When i use bf2 editor it only lasts for about 10 mins then my computer makes a bleeping noise and shuts down. (does anyone have any advice?)
