i can play bf2 on max settings, and the graphics are pretty decent for a PC game

but i recently installed project reality mod, and the graphics are also on max, but i noticed how "crappy" the graphics are

is this normal, or am i missing something here?

What do you mean by "crappy?" PR's graphics look the same. However, some maps have more static objects in them which could cause client-side graphical lag.

the textures are really really bad for me, i dont know why, i play with settings on max, but bf2 has the same and it looks nice

hmmm... i would rule out the shaders as being the problem. Delete your shader cache and re-optimize and we will go from there.
