Can somone please inform me how to check what type of RAM i need and how to then put the ram in my PC?

do u know anything about PC's? can u post your system specs? is it like a dell or custom built?

yeah it's a dell, nvm thanks for going to help me but i got it in there. I just bought a gig of ram and was afraid it wasn't the right type and i didn't really know how to put it in, but i learned just from looking at it.

www.crucial.com have a RAM checker.

As said above, use the Crucial RAM checker, and if you want to test that it is working correctly, download the "Memtest" ISO image, burn it to a disc, boot from the disc and run the stress test.
