I've been waiting patiently for the full update to come out but some of my friends have already downloaded the beta. I just wanted to know if anyone has got it and if its worth DL'ing in the meantime?

The v0.605 open beta is far better in gameplay than v0.506 but does suffer from some problems, but not so many as it is unplayable.
Their will be one more Open Beta (v0.606) at this level (this will be cutdown next build sequence due to file sizes and people willing to download them) that will be out by the weekend approximately. This next build should be as close to the designed final release as possible.
each of the betas is admittedly about 1.5gigs (a 2x cd download) and admittedly many people have capped lines, or other restrictions on their download abilities, but each one is worth it in the path to a proper release. -
