account reset after years of not playing?

    Sirs/Maams,
Just yesterday I installed bf on my laptop. I have not played bf in almost 2 years. I tried several times in the recent months but could not get the update to install on my desktop. So since I got a new laptop i figured I would install it and without updating to the newest patch, I can play on some servers. Only problem I seem to be having is my stats are not updating and this evening while in a ranked server, I RE-revieved my basic badge for my sniper and assualt. I still have all my unlocked weapons available but my statistics do not seem to be updating. This is a problem when it comes to maing rank. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something that happens to an accout after so long of no activity? Any information is helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It could just be that your stats are still there but you can't see them coz everyone is having major problems with them at the min.
I would just wait and see if they turn up

Yeah everyone's stats seem to be frozen at the moment, we're just playing the waiting game.

Apparently since Thursday night and EA/DICE is aware of it: http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116981

You've picked the wrong time to install BF2 mate . Everybody is having stats issues right now.

Your issue might be related to the ongoing stats update issue, however if it persists once that issue is resolved do get in touch with the EA Tech Support guys and they'll be able to look into your BF2 account for you.

Sentience, lots of players (me included) are having the same problem wrt stat updates etc so I won't harp on about it.
Just wanted to say its nice to see a DICE member on the forums here :)
                    Nice one mate.
