I need help with patching BF2 from a fresh install, I downloaded the 1.4 full version which was about 530mb, I was expecting this would patch me up to this NOPE, im still version 1.1.2 something like that! Can anyone help me on what patched I need to install to get this game up to current? Im having more trouble patching this game than any other.......... Usually the "full" patch works. I didnt even get ANY errors on the patching process it said it patched fine!

IMHO.....If it were me I would uninstall ALL of BF2. Shut down and start again. Once you load the game again, Restart the computer. Play the UNPATCHED game for a minute or two to see if it works. Then patch it with the latest patch which is v1.41 I think. If it still won't patch, then you must have got a corrupt patch. RE_download another patch and try again. Hope it helps -
