VOIP suddenly stopped working

Alright, so my VOIP suddenly stopped working. If I go to transmit it brings up the microphone and such but nobody can hear me or even see that I'm transmitting, and I can't hear anyone and see if anyone is transmitting.

I got off a few hours earlier, then popped back on; got on the same server that I'm usually on which is FullContactWar. Just doesn't work. I've checked the audio settings and everything is set the same and correct as far as I can tell. I've also restarted Battlefield several times and rebooted my computer.

Any ideas as to what might have upset it?

check to make sure the mic cord isn't unplugged...and make sure that it isn't muted...both of these i have done multiple times....

I've already checked the mic cord and it's in alright, it's not muted either.

I figure it has to be a problem within the game since it won't even show other people transmitting or let me hear them.

Also it seems that it worked for a little bit when I got on today but then stopped working completely.

next idea...do you have TS or Vent on? My VOIP never works when I have my TS on....you could probably try reinstalling the VOIP component from your BF2 CD if all else fails

Well, I do have TS and Vent installed but rarely use them anymore.

VOIP seems to have started working again, but we'll see if it stays that way.

Seems the problem was that the server wouldn't let me and my friend both use VOIP if we're playing from the same house.

I guess the other servers I tested it on just didn't have people that felt like responding, or the comms were busted.
