So how good is too good??

So last night a person for 5 consecutive rounds scores 30+ kills (low was 33) with no more than 3 deaths and was 1st overall each round... lucky, really good, or something else?? This was on a Karkand IO server so they were not tank/chopper/J-10 whoring...

I know a few that are REAL good, and definately not hackers.
It's possible, if that's yoru question.
(I'm getting better everytime I play, and hope not to die anymore when I'm a General or something lol)

Could have just been in a squad with a medic or two so they got no deaths. Also if its IO lost of grenades get that kind of score, or just a good player.

Yeah when you are on your game (and your Ping in Awesome) you can have great nights!!! Some nights, every time I spawn, I am hit by Artillery and have like 15 deaths and 6 kills.....sigh. Other nights I am up in the high 20s or 30s but I usually have high deaths to go with my high kills.....LOL

Re: So how good is too good??

When I think that someone is too good I will hunt that player down and see for myself. If they are just good and not cheating and I can face them in combat, one on one or not, I can usually kill them at least one in four times or 25% of the time. Anyone can. Thats part of BF2, you will get killed. The better players get killed a lot less or may even go a round or 2 with no deaths. A player who is cheating is another story. They almost have to let you kill them, its that obvious and you can tell thats what it was. What do you need to look for, something that is a cheaters trade mark and easy to spot? I dont think that there is such a thing as a "they always do this one thing". One thing I have noticed is that most cheaters arent very smart, so they are useing a cheat, that they bought from some place and still dont know exactly how the game works. Thats why you usually dont spot one alone, its like snakes, if there is one you might as well look for at least one more there too. They will also try and run or walk across big open areas, without useing cover, not to smart if you ask me.

I will look at thier stats too. I dont believe anyone can go from no medic, pistol, engineer, and knife medal to expert, in all of the above, in 2 weeks. Yet you will see some who have and, no suprise, they usually wind up getting reported for padding and cheating soon after.

I have also noticed that they will have big jumps in thier stats a day or two after a new version, upgrade of thier cheat, hack is released. You dont have to know when it was released just have 2 or 3, unrelated, people that you suspect and check them all and it will be there, the spike, on almost the same day too. I often wonder why others cant see this and dont seem to care. One spike might just be a coincidence(sp) but 2 or 3 spikes in the same place, same date, isnt.

I didnt mean to write a book but as you can tell I dont like cheaters. I like for everything to be the same for all players except thier skill level, experience. . . . . . . . .Red

Better players also use better tactics.

Act like a sand shark or oceanic white tip... hang at the edge of the battle and kill the straglers. Only fools take on more enemies than they can kill.

I know that was a random reference, but that's what I always think of when I do that.

All my friends call me names when I do that and get triples in Halo 2. BR + Sniper at banshee spawn on Ascension ftw.

Last night I played Karkand, and got a high kd ratio for a few rounds.

                          Teamwork!

I remember we were having a special game with a friend. 800 ticket count. About 400 ticks were gone when I notice he had 0 deaths and about 40 kills or so. Hes a ground pounder, taking armor and APCs only when the opportunity arises. So halfway throught the round I purposely started to play around him, and by the end of the round he was 68:0. That was a game on a full scaled map with air and ground vehicles. He was mostly on foot.

You can do sh!tloads in BF2 if youre smart enough.
