Bots?

Hey,
I know you can't play your maps in single player, but I hear something about "bots". Are you talking about some sort of computer AI player you can add in multiplayer? Is there anyway to play against the computer with your mod?

SP mods are perfect for when you don't have a decent connection (like me )

'bots' are the non-human players in the game when you play SP or co-op. You can play mods and modded maps in SP and co-op but you must build the bot-support into the map (or add it to the map afterwards) and the mod. The map needs a 'navmesh' and the mod needs AI files for the weapons. There are many SP-compatible maps available from the BFSP site that DasRoach linked to. Any user-created maps released before Jan 2006 (like the TBF2 map packs) will not have bot support since the SP tools were not available until then. (The Mercenaries mod did release some SP maps in 2005 that were basically heavily-modified versions of the vanilla SP maps.)
