I've seen alot of server admins here lately since there is no ROE no more to uphold "Law" on the "rented servers" that the admins would switch players upon next death using bf2cc..however they were causing issues with players that were squad leaders and even the commander. This used to be no allowed and was in clear violation of the rules of engagement but we all know that right now its a bummer that its no longer upheld. This is a sign of a poorly controlled server IMO but its a shame players won't move on to another mostly cause of pings are very good on them and pretty much restricted to a select few now. :hmm:

How come if I switch to one team I can't switch back, I never need to but it's strange.

Like I die and switch to USMC, then I say nah China needs help so I can't switch back??


Oh and I hate the server thing for BF2 it just sucks.

What does FF0 mean? Either way it seems they're always different.

the only thing correct is IO or not.

So can someone gimme a list showing me exaclty what everything means.

You can switch to a team only if the team your currently on has 1 more player than the team you want to switch to (assuming autobalance is on)

If you then decide to switch back you first have to spawn on the side you just switched to and the conditions i mentioned have to be met.

Some servers say 1 but are not on...

It got switched while it loaded.

I noticed that too. The server info on the right side when you click on a server (but don't join it) seems to be correct though but when loading the map sometimes it's messed up.

.....thats what i meant...i didnt swap sides....the teams switched...

This can only be done at the start of a new round. You can't switch the teams during a round. You got switched when you died so it would keep the teams balanced. 9.999999/10 this is done automatically and not by an admin.

That could still happen if the other side was disconnecting like flys, and the auto-balance kicked in ...a weird coincidence for sure (that the whole team switched). I was in a server last night that, at the end of each round, would scramble each side, guys had to reorganize and were switching all over the place. That was really annoying. If you get in or make a squad, the odds of getting switched goes way down. What I usually do is play lone-wolf if I'm not on the side I want, hoping to get switched, and then be sure to be in a squad if I am where I want to be.

Well we are all on xfire team speak. When you have 5 people in a squad and all of a sudden upon death 4 of them get switched from USMC to MEC, that makes a bit of difference on how ya play that round. It sucks, you may have been fighting for a particular flag with your squad then all of a sudden now your defending it? Really sux cuz there's no more secrets in team speak after that, lol.

It didn't switch the entire team, or give anyone any flags. It just moved YOU to the other team....Unless you know 100% for a fact that everyone you were just playing with got moved to the other team with you. Then I have no idea. But either way, the teams just switched, it has nothing to do with flags.

Last night 5 of us were in =ESU= Kubra Dam and it kept happening to our whole squad. We swapped teams about 5-6 times during 1 round. It was pretty annoying.
