BF2 Crash - Debug assertion failed

I was playing project reality this evening when the server crashed and then my PC crashed to desktop, i went to restart bf2 and got this message



I assumed it was a PR problem so i tryed normal bf2, but same problem, except the PR was replaced with bf2, the starnge thing is, D: is my photo printer, its not even a hard rive or a disk drive????

any ideas?? all would help

did you try to reinstall? that can solve the problem :p

This can be caused by a bad ActiveX object or malware, among others. Its been a while since I programmed last, so I can't recall exactly. Let the scans commence.

thanks sniper a new install fixed the problem and ive made a backup of my common client folder, but i had to redownload PR overnight lol
