You guys were right (at least those who responded to my original thread)

All I needed was a break.
After selling my BF2 and SF, I decided to come back to BF2.
While I remember getting bored of it, I now realize:

BF2 encompasses everything
-jet fighting
-helicopters
-squad tactics
-infantry combat
-commanding

All my other games just focus on individual portions.

I think that all those combined is what is bringing me back.

So, I hope you're happy Pred, you cost me another $30.

I didn't play it for 2 weeks, and I sold it.

Someday, sometime, we'll have a BF2-esque MMOFPSTSAG (say it with me: massively multiplayer online first person shooter tactical strategy game) in which the fate of nations (err, "rounds") don't rest with armies of a maximum size of 32 people.

There'll be huge numbers of organized folks on the ground, an air division, plenty of armor to go around, light vehicle escorts...

Just need...oh...for 100gb of memory to become standard on servers tied to FIOS, and maybe 16-20gb for desktops tethered to chez internets by anything approximating modern broadband.

So, welcome back and start practicing some more for the real *cough, cough* virtual thing.
