My impression from reading that article is that BF Online will be for the Asian market only(at least initially). Being from The States I'm not gonna get too worked up over this.

Anyone remember when it happened the other way round? They turned Command and Conquer into a FPS. I think it was called C&C Renegades. It was awful.

It seems to be that this game will just be another FPS game and not a MMO. I am presuming you can't get a copy of BF 2 that has "Asian" languages? If it is an MMO, then it might be able to work, but I think it's another BF FPS game.

lol its not an MMO FPS they are just bringing the game over there which suprises me cause i thought it was already over there. they are trying to foolow in the succes of FFA socer online so unless soccer can be played with 3,000 people its not an MMOFPS.

think about it, in mmo games you see teamwork for qust that you dont see on karkand, imagine all the clans froming and taking over a chunk of land and keeping players in shifts based on where they live and when they can get on to secure it, and leading conquest all over the map to control it and since its not just a 10 minute round.....2 clans an have a REAL WAR with REAL BREIFINGS not just the breifing you read while the map loads.....think about it...
Clan leaders going on the internet looking for real milotary tacics to know how to deploy their forces

EA decided to develop 'Battlefield Online' in Korea.

Korean Online Game publisher 'NeoWiz' and EA made an agreement about mutual investment.....

You can buy your "unlocks" at an arms bazaar as in Somalia right now, imagine buying an AKMS with folding stock versus a AK101. Or an actual RPG versus an Eryx.

Trust me, if the game itself will be free, it will suck. Also, it`s made by koreans- we all know how awesome WarRock is.
The only way we could get a really awesome MMOFPS with lots of different quests, interesting story, etc, is with monthly fees and the game itself would cost a good buck.
Only then we would get a good, worth the time game that wouldn`t get boring in the first 2 months and wouldn`t give us all the aspects of the game in the first week so that from there on, it would be the same boring s*it.
A good MMO costs more than some s*itty items and always has something new to offer.
