wtf?! How'd you get the game to go to 1680x1050? As far as I know BF2 doesn't support widescreen.

It doesn't. It does, however, support running the game at 1680x1260 with the top and bottom pixels cut off to fit in a 1680x1050 screen. That's what it does if you put +szx 1680 +szy 1050 on the startup command-line. So your field of view is no wider but it is smaller vertically.

I have 2 gbs and I exclusively play pr.
I run the game on lowest settings. 2gb ram is always enough.

my ram is old **** ddr400

my systeme is amd3700 @2.2ghz, with xfx 7600GT 256mb gfx card


if you get good ram,. say 2gb of 800mhz ddr2 stuff (corsair is a good brand) and the equivalent (read: non-bottlenecking) parts for the rest of your pc,
you couuld then run pr full graffz

I just built a machine with Barton 3200+ (400mhz), 2x512meg sticks of pc3200 (might be running single channel, can't check, sorry excuse for a mobo) and an agp 6800gt 256meg card. @ 800x600 everything low to medium and no AA it runs like a dog, not playable. But vanilla plays really smooth with medium settings, 2xAA at same res reaching 55fps and more when facing off into nowhere.
