Dolphins are almost worse, zig-zaging is pretty effective to dodge bullets lol but just don't run headlong into the fight like Resurrected said. Look for an alternative way round. Flank the enemy, catch them in a cross fire with your team and quite frankly they are in the s**t

Alot depends on who sees who first, if they don't see you, take them out, but if they do, then it becomes a matter of effective cover. As an example, if your crossing a street, right out in the middle, you see someone, they see you, don't go prone and just start shooting. Instead, make it hard for them to to hit you and give yourself the advantage with either, a cover that blocks or at least a visability hendrence. Be accurate, shoot for the head, and fire in bursts.

Play the odds. What I mean is, say 2 guys see each other at the same time, both go prone, and start firing. One will live, and one will die. The odds are 50/50 who survives, and who doesn't. If one jumps, the other misses, odds go 60/40 in his favor. If he jumps behind cover, the other doesn't, odds go 70/30 in his favor. The one out in the open misses twice, the odds go 80/20 in favor of the guy with cover, and so on. Always try to gain the advantage, and yes, speed does sometimes play a part.

Now, lets say you come across several targets (and thats what the enemy is). Then, how do you get the odds in your favor? First, do not open fire without cover. If you do, you might get one (maybe not), and with luck, maybe two. But the odds are most likely, one of them will just kill you. Stop for one second, check for cover, toss a nade, and then open fire. The odds go way up when you have surprise, cover, and a nade. It should also be mentioned, you are harder to hit, if you are moving. A guy walking sideways and firing, has better odds of winning, than a guy prone, at close range. Needless to also say, always be accurate when firing, compared to 'spraying and praying'.

Lastly, the best tip there is, is 'situational awareness'. Keep tabs on whats going on around you. Watch your mini-map and know where targets are. ALways, always look for how you can gain an advantage, and get the odds, in your favor.

If it's close combat, hop like a ***** and pull the paddles out. Most fish-floppers don't know how to react to that.

Have the best ping, the best computer. Don't underestimate what lack of hardware or network latency will do to your percieved 'skill'.

Some games it doesn't matter what the hell the enemy does, I am like a God.

Other times, I get shot before they even see me to shoot me. Or they headshot me while doing a Bruce Willis - Die Hard double-axe twist while wielding a PKM (yeah now THAT's realistic).

Everytime I start to get owned or start going 1-1 ratio or 1-5 ratio, it's usually to do with lag.

If it's close range, do NOT go prone. ALWAYS stand up.

If it is close range, do a circle strafe around the guy, and aim for the head. Obviously stay unzoomed so you have freedom of movement. This will give you the highest success rate at close range.

At far range, if you see your opponent go prone, sprint forward, jump, hit "D" or "A" for about .5 seconds, hit "Z", and shoot. Throughout this whole movement you should be aiming at their head. What this will look like is you jumping, rolling in mid-air, and then going prone landing. This will earn you about 2 extra seconds to aim for their head while they are attempting to shoot you.

I am so sick of posts like this, honestly bunny hopping will save your *** regardless of someone being able to shoot.

Besides knowing how to shoot has nothing to do with when you're out of ammo or being engaged by multipul enemies.
