    Keyboard

    Hi guys, how are you?

Im just wondering, Ppl say using joystick is better than keyboard (KB) when piloting a plane. Is this true? Does this mean ppl without joystick wont be able to be good at piloting with KB?

What about Helicopters? Does it work the same way as Planes?

Last question, what else do you need joystick for, is it only for planes and helicopters?

    THanks a ton

    Re: Keyboard

There's two opinions about this really. You use joystick if you want to. None makes you to. You can be just as good with both. It's just what you've got used to. Joystick can be used in both, helicopters and planes. Good thing is, that they both have their own control setup :)

You can use your joystick with anything if you want.

Probably not a native English speaker... or writer.

          You need:
Keyboard and mouse for infantry, ground vehicles, and Helicopter (if you want to use it for Helicoptor).

Joystick for jets, and Helicopter (if you don't like the mouse and keyboard).

It's really that simple. You really don't need anything other than standard computer equipment. I'd suggest to not even bother with jets or helicopters unless you plan on spending a lot of time learning them. Nowadays, you will probably just get dominated in the air.

Then again, there are plenty of noobs thinking they are good.

I use ONLY the Keyboard to fly helicopters. I am interested in starting to learn jets, could someone please post mouse and keyboard settings for those? Thanks! :-) I have a joystick, but not really interested in that, and really only want to learn jets enough to get to ok.

                      That is intrinsically incorrect.

Joystick > keyboard for both Jets and Helicopters. Fact.

keyboard button are either on full or off, joysticks give u more control and precision. i can always tell if my pilot uses a joystick or not. There manuevers look basic and one dimensional, while with joystickers the movements look smooth.

on my joystick, i can do like 10 functions with one hand.

it's all about what u prefer. People say tht mouse flying jets is hard but when u get used to it it isnt. just practice on empty maps.
