Highway Tampa start of new patch???

With Highway Tampa out, does everyone think this could be EA reviving BF2? Im guessing that if Highway Tampa is released in full version, it'll come out as part of what everyone hopes for.... Patch 1.5 :hmm:

What you'll see in a "patch 1.5" is support for the advertising billboards we've come to know and love in 2142, I bet... I'm thinking EA just noticed how many of us still play bf2 and want to extend their marketing accounts to that game, too.

Anyone else love the stupidity of the "136 years strong" Intel billboard in the "modern times" bf2? Server I was on earlier, everybody in a tank would just pelt the billboards with shells when they drove by one.

Hahh yeah. Theres some sweet billboards
the map is really dense with fog.
I like it. It needs Choppers to balance it out. sheet. I like it though. I hope they make a new patch
maybe add some guns. Or something to keep us enthralled.??

I really doubt it. It is a very broke d**k attempt. I mean, almost shameful. Hell, if they wanted to get some advertising in with Intel, they should have just taken community maps, make them Ranked, then just put some creates near the USMC uncaps with Intel labels on them.

As for a patch? Well, I heard Quake Wars is delayed so DiCE still has some time, before I completely walk away. Esp since Star Craft 2 got announced, I am finding it more fun playing a game that is 10 years old and launches in litertally 3 seconds and a game map starts in 2 seconds with StarCraft 1.

If DiCE had any balls, which I think EA took all of theirs away and has them locked in the EA purse, they would put community maps into the ranked pool and make a very small patch, and for a real nice stretch, release some tools for the Mod community.

I didn't find anything official... sorry, but I'm either slow or EA sucks at updating their website.

Custom maps are up the *** if you know where to look. The problem is finding good ones. I only found 1 server running "Highway Tampa." Maybe I'm mistaken.

But yeah, I think EA owes us something for free. I don't care if it's just a map pack. In fact, if it is, then we might get away from the 24/7 Karkand IO maps and move toward 24/7 Highway Tampa IO maps...

id have to agree, there isnt going to be a new patch, they just took this map out of the trash can, its a two year old failure that wasnt good enough 2 years ago but as soon as intel cut a check it suddenly became a game worthy map. dirty pool.
