Is there a way to get the mouse look function, via trackir, without losing the control function of the plane or chopper?

Say I'm in a helo and looking left. Can I get my chopper to yaw left while I maintain my view on that same vector? I do not have a trackir system, but before I rush out and blow 200 bucks I want to know. ATM im using mouse look via hat, and its annoying as all hell.

ArmA works perfect, but all the servers I see there are dead except BDA and they hold play the gay hold maps. So BF2 is my game of choice for helo whoring.

I want trackir but I need to know if there is away around EA's gay coding of BF2 flight.

BF2 doesn't support Track IR, AFAIK ArmA is the only FPS that supports it. I know of a lot of Flight Sims that support it but thats not what you asked for.

No unfortunatly you can't do that you loose all control of you aircraft when you use free look. The best way I've found around this is having a compitent gunner with you on TS, Vent and if all else fails VOIP in-game calling out o'clock positions of the target, in pubbing it can be a bit of hit and miss though.
