When is this used? And Do u need to remember them all?

Also, I heard controlling planes without steering wheel is impossible? i mean, its impossible to do it with keyboard,,, this true?

Umm I don't exactly know what you mean does this answer your question?

      Alpha
      Bravo
      Charlie
      Delta
      Echo
      foxtrot
      Golf
      Hotel
      Idia or something like that
      Julliet
      Kilo
      Lima
      -
      -
      -
      -
      Romeo
      -
      Tango
      -
      -
      -
      -
      -Zulu

You don't need to remember then, atleast not in Bf2.

You realy need to explain a bit better

And yes a joystick helps alot

no it isnt impossible to fly with a keyboard and mouse. i can fly the helis ok with it but not the jet, but there are some people out there who are very good with a keyboard.
as for the radio bit, are you refering to when commanding and giving orders?
when you click create squead, it automatically assigns you to the next available code name for that letter

            Re: help needed

Its a military reference. For example "M" is mike, "N" is november and so on. In the army a scout platoon is called reddog and the leader is reddog 1. The airforce (US versions, Im an AF vet) uses them also, an engineer squadron is call sign november (electronic, electrical repair) and mike (mechanics) with the leaders being november 1 and mike 1 (I worked as November 6). There also is a person who schedules (sp) the work so people dont get in each others way, call sign sierra.

Sorry for the detail, I got carried away, but you get the Idea. To answer the question, these are not used in BF2. I used them in the first few rounds I played and had people stop talking to me because they didnt know what I was talking about. I guess "reddog 1 asking sierra charlie for orders" (NCOIC, site commander) made no sense to the other players. Thats also why I reread my posts, here, to make sure anyone can understand them. Hope this helps. . . . . . . . . . . . .Red

              Re: help needed

Never had a problem flying with mouse and keyboard. I used to be a hotshot at combat flight simulator 2 online once upon a time, never even touched a joystick.

O_o i thought its "keyboard" not "joystick" lol...

hmmm now i know its joystick, right?,

Yeah, what about those ads showing a keyboard specially designed for BF2? what are they used for?

What about the joystick you guys talking about, are they expensive? I live in aussie, any ideas where i can get them?

                Thanks a ton hey.
