AA Problem

i have a new rig.

Thermaltake armor tower
asus crosshair mobo
AmD Am2 5200+ x2
X-fi Fatal1ty FPS
2 gigs ocz
Nvidia 7900
zalman 9700
680w psu
HP f2105 Widescreen lcd

Now...i cant get things on the horizon to look smooth. Things up close look ok, but far off towers and such look like there made of legos. wtf? i have AA in game off, 8xs in settings. 8x AF high image quality. all high settings in game, 1600x1200.

I would suggest going into the Nvidia control panel and forcing better graphics. IF you go to the advanced settings it allows you to set up game specific profiles. in each of these profiles you can force extra graphics options such as 16x AA or AS (Can't remember which). It may however take a large toll on the game in terms of performance because you are setting graphics which weren't built into the game.

EDIT: For some reason this option was removed from the 94.24 drivers, however it worked with 93.71's

I am using the 93.71 windows x64 drivers. no 16x AA or anything.

I have a good comp, but i have not been able to get a good smooth look with this game.

I even changed my resolution to 1680x1050 and it runs just great, but still no perfect lines.

I had this problem with 2142 also, the flag poles look super bad.



alright, now im getting mad. i cannot get this crap to look good. it runs like i want it to.. i can put all settings to the max and it still looks freaking ugly.

i need a new game.

You sure you can get it to look good? Maybe it's just the games graphics?

I think its how the game is, all other games i run have nice smooth lines but bf2 jagged as hell ill keep trying but i cant see a solution
