Need help getting 1680X1050

I have followed "Ownage's" guide to changing resolution but it did not work. I have Samsung 226BW 22" monitor and want to get the best out of it. The max resolution I see is 1280X1024. IF anyone who have reached 1680X1050 please let me know what you did. Thanks in advance.

By the way I read at this other site that I probably have 1680X1050 resolution but it won't show up in the Video menu of the game. How can I tell?

are you sure you typed it in right?

Fullscreen 1+szx 1680 +szy 1050? i play at a 1400X1050 and it works with that teqnique from ownage's guide...

As long as you have it added to the shortcut correctly it should be working. You might be able to check by taking a screenshot, then checking what size the shot is.

How? I am a NOOB.

While in the game press "Prt Scr". Then check in the screenshots folder. Hover your mouse over the shot you took and it'll show the size:

Use the other shortcut. The one named "Battlefield 2".

To the OP,
I run at 1680 x 1050 mate using the 1+szx 1680 +szy 1050 addon to the shortcut with no problems.
Don't forget that the in game video options screen will not show this resolution even though you are actually running with it.

LOL mine is in the same place, but mine says

"the game will start when X more idiot(s) enter the game"

I tried that link but it just cocked the whole thing up when I made the change to move it under the minimap :cry:

Now mine just says a load of code in the middle of the screen instead of "the game will start" etc etc
