The RIB's in BF2 are tombs as they are.
What needs to be done is in default drive mode they need to be much quieter and a little slower with significantly reduced wake, but give them like a boost button like the jeeps in 2142 do, so that when you need to move quickly you can do so really fast.

the slow mode would be helpful on Songhua and the fast mode for a map like Clean Sweep or Wake.
