need HELP!

every time i try to play bf2, about 10 minutes in, IT FREEZES. this is the same for special forces. i dont know what to do! could someone please help me

what are your system specs, maybe you need to adjust your video settings to better suit your PC, special forces can be video demanding to a lacking system so try playing on all low settings then work up from there to see how far you can go

I agree, i've been having the same problems lately with this game and world of warcraft. I'm able to play for about 10 to 20 minutes then my comp just freezes up and I have to hold the power button to shut it down. I run the game on medium settings and theres nothing wrong with the settings because its worked up until now. What could it be?

My specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
1 gig of RAM
400W PSU
Geforce 6600 256MB with latest drivers
160GB WD HD

Have you checked your temperatures? With hotter weather coming on problems like this are popping up more and more.

My temperature isn't the problem as when i'm playing it is usually about 40 degrees and I have my case open with a desk fan blowing inside my comp.

I don't think its heat at all because i'm able to play HL2 and CS:S just fine with no lockups or anything like that.

and i dont think its the heat either as its the start of winter hear!
