Noob here, any help with the icons in the multiplayer server? like i see a moneybag on one, a red !, a 64 on another, another just a red bar, some have grey (computer towers i guess) bars. and theres a number after the amount of peep in room i dont know about that it will say like 35/64 (2) whats the (2) mean?? oh & whats advantage’s of playin on ranked only?

a red !

A different version from the one you are cuurently running.

some have grey (computer towers i guess)

Means the server is running on a Windows based system. A picture of a penguin means it's running on Linux.

whats the (2) mean

Number of reserved slots on the server.

oh & whats advantage’s of playin on ranked only?

Advantage: You can keep track of stats.

Disadvantages: People play for stats and ranked servers can't play mods.

i see a 64 sometimes

& i see a money bag (lest looks like one)

& i see a neon(booger green) looking tower about 1/3 way full of another shad of green

the 64 is map size ...16, 32, or 64 player maps.

The money bag and booger green tower? ..means ya have to pay to pick your nose on that server. Now say, "oooohh, ok..thanks!" and I really will believe you are a noob.

I am a noob, but not that nooby:shakehead: , LOL, I know where the mapp size is the 64 isn't there often , its in the far left of the icons, where the money bag's are. I kinda guess they money bags ment pay up 'er something.:cry:

My ha'penny worth.

I think the headphones icon means the server can use teamspeak.

The noob has a pertinent question, tho. Cos I dont; own the game myself, I play in cafes. Working out what happens when, and what everything means takes a long while.

Happily, I've become acculturated - and now know when to dispense a solid 'n00b' and even a joyous 'w00t!'!

The headphone icon means that BF2 VoIP is enabled on that server.
