    And motherboard is ...?

    Also, I don't like monitor at all - if possible, buy 20" monitor, example
    Samsung 204B: 1600 x 1200; 5ms; 800:1 native contrast; 300 cdm2; 0.255mm pitch; DVI; 4:3 ratio; Pivot, height adjust;

    or Samsung 206BW: 1680 x 1050; 2ms; 800:1 native contrast; 300 cdm2; 0.258mm pitch; DVI; Wide.

      Yeah, I hope the motherboard is an Asus. Although I do agree with the above, a 20inch is a good investment.

        Nice rig ...except your gonna really wish you got the 64 bit Vista, and I too, am curious what motherboard.

        Oh and, SickboyX, I just built nearly the same system (same motherboard and processor anyway) for $1500 US ...overclocked about 12% ...love it.

          This is the MotherBoard.
          Will 64Bit Vista run BF and other games to date though?

          Intel BLKD975XBX2KR i975X, S775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 667/533, SATA I / II, SATA RAID, ATX, OEM

            Re: New Rig - Is It Worth It...?

            If BF2 doesnt run well with my upgrade Athlon G4X2 4600+, Asus M2NPV-VM mobo, 2GB Crucial RAM, Asus EN8800GTS 640MB then it's hitting the garbage can.

              yes it should as long as you have a core2 chip. I'm running BF2 on "XP pro x64" with no problems.

                Re: New Rig - Is It Worth It...?

                Yes. I have run BF2 on both, the 32 and the 64. I could never get it to run as well as XP on the 32 with 2 gigs ram. Now, on 64, with 4 gigs ram, it runs great ...which is another reason you want the 64, you won't get to 4 gigs ram with the 32. There is always a software lag, whenever you jump formats. Same thing happened between 16 bit and 32. Some of my favorite software I couldn't use anymore. But, I am able to find newer programs that are working. It'll catchup, and all I'm suggesting is look toward to the future a little, plan for ram upgrades, as well as software updates.

                    I think so, with the Hardware to backup the PhysX Card. I think it is worth it.
