Hi guys,

I've been stuck in the future for quite a time and unfortunately sold my copy of Battlefield 2. Soon my exams are over so i'll be able to ( of i want ) play non-stop Battlefield. Still i have ''feelings'' for Battlefield 2.

My question now is: How's it going with the game and do you recommend i should come back?

BF2 = Still the best online multiplayer game currently available imho.
You could either buy it again or wait for the release of such games as Quake Wars, Crysis, Call Of Duty 3.

I Love Karkand, in the right situation, the right server, and mature players. Get in a squad, and have one support (me), some medics, and assault, and a spec ops. mhmhm yeah, I like that city. I like Karkand for its whole layout. Gameplay never wears out.

i rekon wake sucks and im a stirke lover but im not really into planes and choppers? so yeh its all personal preference. losta newbs with G36E's and loota tools acusing everyone of hacking if you pwn them. but its still very fun!! 2142 sucks balls and i aint going to waste my time purchasing. sure theres new games coming out but will they give you that same satisfaction bf2 gave you? i doubt it.

I meant by stuck in the future that i left BF2 and eventually sold it and played 2142 for quite a time. Now that i have really nothing to achieve left i want to come back to BF2. But first i wanted to know the situation there, how about the whiners, jet whores, exploiters etc.

On 24/7 maps theres always guna be slightly more scummy players, im very guilty of it myself but thats due to some people play just to fly. lol
On 24/7 karkand there are always some problems like 1 team totally dominates round after round, however the games which change maps are much less stressful on a bad day lol.

With jets the problem is, one of them (the j10) is far more superior than the american one(s) so unless you can gun them down or are very good, i wouldnt fight j-10s until you get more used to flying.

I cant comment on mods i havnt tried them, anyway my advice is, seems u did it on 2142, play many aspects of the game. Fly abit, do tanks, a little commanding and play infrantry, if you play 1 part to death you will soon get sick of it.

By the way very nice stats on 2142

Get good in the F35B and the J10 whores won't be a problem, karkand IO ff off is fun, just don't be stupid go around the nade spaming and head for subs and cap it then get hotel....

As for patches, the latest is 1.41 just if you dont know.

Despite the complaining of some nubs on the forum...the game is great.

Lol, yeah i always got pwned by the J-10s. The F-35B got a bit nerfed after some patch. Still taking over the Airfield on Wake is essential for winning the map. It spawn the Hornet and that plane is quite good against a J-10. I always did that, many times it didn't work, because i got bombed after the neutralization of the Airfield. :p
