vegas rendering

ok lets say I made a video in vegas and rendered it as wmv


if I take that same video and import it into vegas as wmv and render it with same resolution will it loose quality?

coz Im making a big video and this is how ill have to do it

ill make small vids and render them then import them all, put them together and render again

Why would you want to rerender with the same format? Your not going to get anything out of that, unless you force it to a smaller file, if you do that, then eventually yes, you will loose small amounts of quality.

How big is the video going to be? What i would do is take the frapsed footage compress it with wmv, so that it will save some space for other ones, do that with others. After that just render as wmv for final compression, and look for the custom button when you render as, it should give you lots of options for compression.

^^that will take time, i usually render as avi (uncompressed), then compress it with another program like VirtualDub, but rendering as wmv in vegas is the way to go too.

I think ill need to use that divx plugin for this one, get on xfire when u find time, uve used it before right?

i use intel indeo for footage which i need compressed and I am sure i will need to edit after, as Indeo can be used in AE and premier and others...

I tried rendering same video twice with same settings and it came out exacly the same, same size and quality so its all good :)
