8800gtx screenshot

Hi There

Does anyone have any screenshots of BF2 being played using an 8800gtx. The reason is that I have just bought a dellXPS and played BF2 for the first time yesterday and am not 100% sure the game looks that great so if anyone can put up a few shots so i can compare them to what mine looks like that would be great.

I am running mine at 100% on every setting and using a 1280x1024 display.

its gonna look same as anyone with those settings except some have shader model 2.0 or 3.0 in your case

Well, with a 1280x1024 screen, no wonder. My 7600gt can handle high at that res. If you really wanna see what the 8800gtx is made of, you need to be playing BF2 at something like 1900x1600 or higher.

so basically, what he's saying is that your card if cr*p if you dont have a big 24' screen, so he recommands you to dump it right now in the garbage and reinstall ur old 6800GT.. jk
I cant even run my settings alll on med. You should check out this thread, takes a time to load all the images, but it taken from a 2560x1600 screen :)

I have a 8800GTS and the game doesnt look any better, its not supposed to look any better, u only get higher fps

Well I am actually thinking of buying a new monitor and was thinking of getting dell ultrasharp 24" LCD widescreen monitor. I use one at work and its a great display and I love the resolution set at 1920x1200 which I am sure would put my 8800gtx through its paces a bit more.

The only thing stopping me buying one at the moment is the fact that you can't run bf2 at widescreen. So what happens if you run it on a wide screen monitor? Does it strecth it to the width of the monitor or does it display the game in the centre with black bars at the sides etc.

I had a 21'' widescreen and my game was all strached out, didnt really like it

Yep, mines streched too and there doesnt seem to be a way of fixing it. Well, all the stuff I tried a while ago didnt anyway.

So would you guys just recommend going to a bigger monitor that wasn't widescreen to avoid strecthing issues in bf2 and other games? I'd really like the widescreen for working but if games don't look right theres not much point.

Also can you recommend any good lcd screens?

if you go to the hi res wallpaper thread and look at my screens, those are the ingame shots of mine, benq 24" wih 8800 gtx everything hi except litght medium, AA x16 AF x16, never goes below 70 frames.
