Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.

What is that supposing to mean? So new players always play Karkand? Maybe all you ever played is karkand..
Skill, Tactics & Experience all play into your K/D ratio. It's something that can't be fully described. I suggest you squad up or watch people who are skilled and good team players.
You got to approach situations sensibly. If you see a squad of 6 people running your way. Don't step out and try and fire at them... instead whack a few c4 on the floor or on the side of a building, hide round a corner and blow their asses to hell and back. Think tactically!
Awlright! You have just taken the right step to becoming a better player. Congradulations! Alot of players never make the distinction, continue to be Rambo, and continue to die alot. Making survival the most important priority will set you on the road to improve as a player. By doing that, you will begin to think about ways to get kills, and to not get killed while doing it. Every single time you die, try to think of what you could have done to reverse that scenario. As you do that, you will eventually answer your own question. You will develope skills, techniques, and situational awareness that will kick in when they are needed. Then, watch your KDR rise.
I used to be quite a lot like that. I would get in the top 3 most rounds and get quite a lot of kills but usually be one of the people to die the most also.
I went from a 1.5 KDR avg to 4.0 KDR avg per round after a lot of experience and practice using tactics.
From experience and bothering to learn from your deaths when you want to improve,You can learn what are good tactical player positions for different situations.
This should allow you to get a good amount of kills and cap flags while dieing a lot less. Also I find watching frag vids of good players helps.
LOL
Trust me, I tried the AT kit but since one shot kills at a tank are nearly impossible it takes more than one AT to get rid of them.
I figured that one AT alone can’t Stopp a tank or APC. But I’m no AT specialist.
Usually I fire one missile at the front/rear track of the tank and somehow get killed before shooting the second.
I think a good AT/Support/Medic squad can pwn vehicles, but these are hard to find these days
I may be a newbie of sorts but I'm goin thru that AT stage that lots of people go through. the best place to fire an AT missle at is at the tracks of a tank. also, if you pop out behind a bldg and fire, you should alternate between locations of firing so that they won't know what side you're gonna come at next. if you can hit the tracks of a tank it only takes two shots but at any other point like the side or the back it takes two, and at the top it takes 4 i think. Also if you're good enough, you can try and jump around while reloading and hope they don't MG you to death and once you reload you can shoot them and hope for the best. Also, dont forget the laser targeting aspect of the SRAW and ERYX. You can almost shoot around corners and hit moving targets with it.
Anti-tank; can't go wrong there, it's my favourite kit. I manage, in a single round, to piss off everyone. Whether its the over-confidence vehicle whores or the camping snipers who seem less then happy about an AT rocket to the face. So many different roles can be taken on.
Something that the other guys didnt mention is play a few rounds on servers with battlefield recorder enabled and down load the file and watch it. Doing that one thing helped me a lot. It helped me see some of the dumb things that I do and also helped me see how some of the other players did too. You can learn a lot from watching youself during the game. Hope this helps. . . . . . . . . .Red
Ha, 99% of the time the people with decent K's are the vehicle whores, I reckon you should ony get half a kill if you use a vehicle. Additionally, infantry combat is flawed, the cone of fire and hit detection is not good at all. You can sometimes get lucky with a good position or bottleneck but most of the time you'll end up being killed by helicopters, planes, APC's, tanks and last but certainly not least... artillery. The very fact that you can perform a prone roll while firing accurately at the same time is daft.
Well then, the vehicle problem is accurately described here. I think IO is best. Sure Vehicles make BF2 unique. But the Infantry Combat is pretty friggen sweet in BF2. Play IO, and try to get on any map but Karkand, that way you aviod glitchers, and hackers, along with your hefty supply of Nade Spammers. But hey, i have most my hours on Karkand so i cant say DONT play it, majority of the time the combat is intense, and as a support Gunner, the points are in an abundance.
well last night on the karkand server with vechiles tht i go on i managed to get a positive k/d ratio for once but the strange thing is is that i had just unlocked the f2000 and with that i managed to get 16kills and only 12 deaths so thts a good start.
