You mean the EA downloader stopped working? Or the BF2 account server? I don't see how BF2 itself not working would affect your ability to download the boosters.

Just clean out your hard drive and BF2 will work again.
After you Clean out your hard drive, you have to restart your computer and then BF2 should work again.
When I mean Clean out, just use a program like Google cleaner (also known as CCleaner)
