Its could be a:

reset
error in the account server
new or unknown glitch or hack.


Its probably one of the first two.

he was a 1 star then got reset and started playing again

but i think when you get reset you lose your rank coz it happend with someone i know in bf2142 he got reset and his rank went back to privite
