Although most server rules don't comply with the BF ROE, I don't mind to obey them. Well, people pay for a server, and I am guest.

But getting kicked for killing an admin is out of line.
But it's something that always will go on.
Only thing what I can suggest is when you had a great game,
put that server in your favorites. After a month you have enough good
and fair servers to play on.

To them, camping means waiting for a plane (I got kicked a few times before understanding that). Are you confused? so was I at the time.
What camping means on BC is that if you weren't the first one to get the plane at the start of the map, you don't have the right to wait for the rest of the map, unless of course it's sitting in the hanger and no one is going for it.
An entirely stupid rule, which favours people (like me) who have high spec systems that allow me to spawn a few seconds earlier than most other people to run for that jet before everyone else spawns at the start of a map.
An unfair rule as on BC, 99% of the time admins are in the jets.

Yes this is what happend I was the only one waiting for a jet to spawn, I'v been playing a lot of chopper and some inf lately and I wanted a change...sue me.

I was being a very good boy just standing there alone waiting for one of them to get shot down so we could 'e' it out. When the admin got shot down he spawned and stood back for a little while, I though he was being a good guy and letting me have my turn, instead he was typing his kiddy commands in the console and the real reason he did this is because he wanted the jet again not because I disobeyed a stupid rule.

The huge letdown for bf2 isn't the game it self but the people that control it, the fu**ing lame admins. I'm so sick of them making up rules during the game so they can have their way or do what they want to do.

in every online-game you will find ppl which kill the fun when playing. either "normal" players or admins.

if you joined such a server, leave and find a new one. after some time you will find servers where the admins are "good" :)

Actually, that's the best advice, if EVERYONE would follow it, these retards would end up paying £150 for an empty server.

so do i.....i feel like getting stats to shut these douches up.....for example, it would look like this.............

ok 1500 servers + server filters for: populated, not full, no password, same version, and ranked.....thats down to about 700....ok minus the IO servers, now where down to about 250, ok minus the 24/7 servers, down to 175, ok now subtract al the servers with less than 30 players, think we got about 75, now minus all the servers with over 100 ping, prolly about 25......out of these 25, lets guess how many are run by douche admins, and enforce stupid rules that cater to their point/vehicle whorage....

not so many now is it? :shakehead

I like Bamboo Commandos.
Its a good server, with GOOD admins that won't take any crap if someone is being a **** and breaking the server rules.
If you got yourself kicked from the BC server then i'm sorry but you must've been a **** :)

A lot more than 1500.

So your saying that out of around 5500 servers, you can find less than twenty-five that cater for your needs.

BF2 must be in a worse state than I previously thought.

I had a situation last night that I got kicked for "Attacking an Uncap". I was having a pretty decent game as a sniper on FuShe pass. After about 10 minutes in one spot, I decided to move downstream and fire across the river from near the factory toward the first flag closest to their base. Got a few kills.



Anway, I get shot at from the uncap and decide to return fire. I kill the idiot A/T trying to hit me and get kicked because he was on the helo pad in the uncap. I rejoined and got over it but it was still ****ty.

out of your 5450 servers, how many are running mods? co-op? IO? different version? unranked or passworded? crap ping? not enough/too many(full) players? not a 24/7 server? etc...

did you even read my previous post?

you even said yourself 'no filters'.....same mod, and same version are crucial so is ping and player count....servers that are empty, or full should obviously be omitted, as should different MODs, expansions, and older versions, and ridiculous/unplayable ping

do a search for ranked vanilla bf2 server, with a ping less than 100, that is not IO, that doesnt run 24/7 of one map, and has 30+ players.....i bet ur number drops dramatically....

too bad you cant filter out douchey admin too.....ur number would drop again

Of course I read your post, and I agree that number will drop dramatically when you introduce filters. All I was doing was commenting that there are much more BF2 servers than was previously mentioned in the thread and hinting that some of your personal filters are mabye a bit too strict. :hmm:

Mabye if I know your answer to that I can understand why you feel there are so few suitable servers to play on. A mixture of the server types mentioned above allows for a very diverse game and subsequently a more enjoyable playing experience, in my oppinion, you may feel differently.

If only...

the only expansion i have is SF....so getting the other expansions in my server broswer is just pointless....24/7 servers are a bit monotonous....its usually pretty predictable....everyone knows what everyone's gonna do and is always waiting for it...i think with less than 30 players, there's less action....usually ends up being more flag-hopping than combat....IO i dont like because i enjoy using vehicles....and i enjoy the challenge/threat that vehicles pose........IO is like deathmatch, and in my experienced there is little/no teamwork in most IO servers, and the nade spam is insane.....also, most IO servers are 24/7 servers....and mostly karkand (which i cant stand anymore)

i like playing most maps, if not all of them...i dont mind karkand being in the rotation....when its not a 24/7 karkand server, the tactics and teamwork tend to be more so...ppl tend to think outside of the typical karkand whore mentality....and i like vehicles....particularly, the attack heli...i like the variety....when its not a 24/7 server, ppl tend to think outside the typical tactic
