    BF2 FPS Issue

Problem: The game loads, and has the same problem no matter what the graphics, it loads at a slow speed but im told thats natural. When i enter game the fps is ultra low, and then sometimes it picks up to.. a normal rate. And then if i look with the mouse, start moving, get in a vehicle or anything, the games fps goes even lower. I darent turn when i try and play. I have managed on odd occasions to play for a few minutes, other than that it eventually crashes without error to desktop, or corrupts the computer and i have to force restart.

    I have

    AMD AM2 Athlon 64 X2 4600+
    1024mb 533 mhz DDR2 RAM
    NVIDIA 7300 GS 512mb pci-e
    ASUS M2V
    5.1 Realtek HD Audio

I run the game in any settings... same problem. That includes sound in software/hardware low/medium/high with acceleration on basic/medium/advanced and with voip disabled/enabled.

Assistance please before i cry that the game was a waste of £20 -_-

first....the 7300GS isnt that great of a video card even with 512mb. u should be playing on low and maybe some medium settings.

2nd everytime u change settings, u should delete the cache files which are located in

    C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Have you compared your framerates in singleplayer vs online? You could have a network issue, though I doubt it. Drivers, drivers, drivers! Update sound, main chipset, video, get the AMD dual-core optimization drivers and patch from AMD's website. Use the command "renderer.drawfps 1" to show fps.

Meh guess my computer is just destined not to run the game.

        EDIT2:

New Nvidia geforce 7950 512mb pci-e is on its way -_- hope this fixes the problem

It should be just fine with that new video card. Be sure to get the AMD drivers though. They even helped my computer considerably.
