Just purchased BF1942 and tried to go on line. However when I try to check the punkbuster box it tells me to reinstall the newest patch. This I have done (1.61) but the same happens. Any ideas?

that happened to me and I wound up just uninstalling and reinstalling the game....sorry...not a huge help I know.... -

make sure you didn't just run the 1.61 incremental patch.
it must be the full patch.Comment

Full patch to 1.6:

Then install incremental to 1.61b:

If you did that already then a fresh install is probably the way to go.Comment

Problem sorted, PB just needed up dating and had to reinstall the game to patch 1.61 again. Working fine now, thanks for the replys.Comment
