[Movie] Carpe Diem - Tons of action.

Here is my newest and most likely final BF2 movie. It's very light on story, and heavy on the action. You will not be bored by this movie, if you are...check your pulse. Keep in mind that 90% of it was captured and edited in less than 3 days, so It's not perfect.

Anyways, the movie is viewable in several different formats. Choose whichever you prefer. I highly reccomend either the 800x600 or 640x480 versions. More mirrors would be greatly appreciated.

    [Great Quality]Filefront 800x600 151mb 7m30s

    [Good Quality]Filefront 640x480 94mb 7m30s

    [Fair Quality]GameTrailers Stream 7m30s

    [Poor Quality]Youtube Stream 7m30s

i thought it was pretty good. the tank battle was by far my favorite. i always wondered what that would be like. this movie looked like alot of fun for the actors.
the only thing that i didnt relaly like which is prob due to lack of time was the infantry fighting. the action and shooting was good, but it didnt seem like it was giong anywhere really. like mostly just clips of ppl shooting but good job overall

well, The filming/BR was good, but the rest was pretty odd.
The First scene with the boats and J10s:
Why in the hell didn't the US have any choppers or jets helping and also why only use boats?
Second scene with the infantry on port and beaches:
makes more sense, but sensed rather pointless
      Thrid scene with Tanks:
wow...just a big group of tanks shooting at eachother....not as good as the infastry part
      finallly, the Fueses pass part:
Don't make sense with what you said in the beginning before the action.
They were not really check out anything, they were just getting shot at and shooting back. if they are check out something, they would of did it more quietly and without killing people. If you would of did that first, instand of going right into the action, if it would of bein' better.
Overall, the story doesn't support what's in the video, pointless scenes, and no good plot line.
The good things about it was that it was filmed alright, no name tags (good, good), and some ok effects
      I rate this a 2/5

I wanted the opening to be a D-day like storm the beach scene. I know it's not very realistic, I did it because it has never been done before. How often do you see that many boats?

The opening and mid explanations are there just to give you a basic idea of what is going on. You need to think outside the box, this is a WWIII action montage movie; what little story there is shouldn't even matter. If you're looking for a movie with corny voiceovers and a bunch of guys sneaking around for 5 mins, this may not be for you.

Dude, your the one who wanted the story line and you didn't follow it.
You don't have to have corny voiceovers to make a good story.
You can not draw on pass wars to do anything with Wars of tommorow. They have to be high tech and fast. Also, it was not a montage, A montage is usually a video that just has small cuts, some action, some kills, and then it's over. Usually being short to about 3 to 4 mintures long, depending on the music or how the editor wants to start it. Your map choose wasn't good either. If you wanted boats in there, you should of started it on fusses pass and then cut it, so that you have the main battle going on and then have the marines look for the bombs in another scene. You were better off have some voiceovers for the guys snaking into where the bombs were. It give the charathers more emotion and makes you feel like you want to keep them alive. Also, Story should ALWAYs matter when you are doing a movie with a storyline!

You're entitled to an opinion. I just don't understand why it doesn't make sense. The story is just a fancy way of saying "Battle at Dalian Plant" "Battle at Fushe Pass" nothing more. If you want character development, in depth story, and voiceovers...wait for Sands of Fire. That kind of stuff take months of planning/filming/editing. It's just not the kind of project I have the time and dedication to start. Most of the stuff we did was done in 2 hours on a Saturday.

I am not asking for a "Sand of Fire" thing, Just something that has a feel to it and doesn't just have people shooting at one another without reason.
The only reason Sand of Fire is taking so long is because they have to render, edit, and do CGI to the video. That voice work, players, and filming doesn't take long and it's easyer to do.
