now i know this comes out alot but i start up bf and it just goes back to the desktop now i have all the things needed on the back of the box could anyone help

Hey, do you have the latest video drivers for your gfx card? If this dosnt help you could try re patching with 1.41.

Okay, to find out what drivers you have you need to go to control panel, then system, then device manager, select display adapters and click on properties. If you go to your gfx card manufaturers website you can check to see if there is a later version available and download it. Then all you need to do is uninstall the old drivers and install the new ones.

Okay dude, seems to me that your s3 pro savage ddr is a chip on the motherboard, am I correct? If this is the case I believe this is your problem, as it is not powerful enough to run bf2/not supported, you would need to get a new gfx card. Im not 100% sure but I think thats why you get crash to desktop. Sorry I couldnt be more help mate.

btw how much RAM do you have?

512 RAM should in theory be enough to run bf 2 so long as dont have to many programs running in the background.

AGP v2.0, 4X speeds, 66 MHz PCI that is the card i have so is it alrite

You would need to buy a graphics card. I suggest that you take your comp to your local pc world/other pc shop as they would be able to give you more advice as to a card that would be compatable with your current system. To run bf2 it would need at least 128 MB Ram onboard though.

Although you might be better off getting a whole new system as you would probably need to upgrade more soon.
