    BF2 Connection Problems

    Hey all,
Im just posting this up here in the hope that alot of BF2 players see this and will help those who are having connection issues. These issues are the ones where people join a server and after a few minutes are kicked and when they rejoin are kicked again, and again and again. Alls I ask is that you log into EA support and post the following or at least something similar.
    ------------------------------
    Hello,
Although this isnt my problem, Im reporting it for a friend of mine. He has had problems with his BF2 and the mass, world-wide `Connection has been lost' issue. Everytime he connects to BF2 after a few minutes he gets kicked and the reason he gets is `Connection has been lost to the server'. He has tried the following:
    Opened Ports.
Checked Firewalls/Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware and scanned computer to ensure its nothing like malware.
Reinstalled BF2 using your registry removal method.
    Manually reinstalled Punkbuster.

I read however on a forum that there was an ISP issue with DICE/Gamespy and THAT'S whats causing these connection issues for everyone around the world. Ive seen five such occasions from different people attempting to connect to several different servers.

If this is true when will the BF2 world see a patch to help and put a stop to this happening. The general feeling is that EA have left the BF2 community for the BF2142 community. Some sort of release giving us an update would put alot of gamers minds to rest.
    ---------------------------------
If we stick together on this perhaps we can convince EA to actually let BF2142 be ok for a while and work on a patch to stop this connectivity problem everyone is having.
    Thanks!

P.S. I hope I dont offend anyone, I just think a gaming community is a community!

    Re: BF2 Connection Problems

did you manually update PB also?

And what is the specs of the PC & the connection speed?

Sometimes ISP's can block ports on your connection, even if you have unlocked them in the router, it will be best to ring up the ISP and see they have not blocked the ports to be able to play BF2 online.

      Re: BF2 Connection Problems

The computer specs can handle it. ISP doesnt block the ports required. Its a simple case of EA messed up last update. I need people to send that above into EA support to force some form of reply.

      COME ON FOLKS!

Obviously someone who cares about those who can't play and not just some jumped up yank. Leave it. I can tell this community is up itself.

        Have fun!
