FRAPS videos lag

So, when I record in-game with FRAPS, it runs almost fine.

Half-Size
50 FPS
No cursor
No sync

^^ those are my FRAPS settings. I can see ingame, FRAPS shows with RED letters, 50 FPS.


So, when I've finished recording a part (this was a test), I go watch my movie-clip. Then the video is laggy. It's like slow-motion lag

What am I doing wrong?

U may need to update your video & audio drivers & make sure you have the latest DirectX installed.

Everything is updated.

The output from FRAPS watched directly in Movie Player makes it laggy and slow motion style.... the output from Movie Maker, makes the quality really really bad. :/

Have you watched the video using any other player ie vlc, divx or media player & does it lag still?

What about the other players?

The problem could lie in the actual program encoding the video?

Have you tried an alternative program such as windows movie maker?

No, because I can't figure out howto use Vegas i.e. well.

If you have a 2nd hdd your not using, try setting fraps to record to that drive. I have an extra drive I use for my fraps and it performs flawlessly now. no bad vids, no terrible lag.
